I'm a horrible blogger

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a long time. Its been a crazy year. A lot has happened since my last post. The relationship I had been in since last June ended the begining of July. I traveled to the West coast for the first time and finally got to meet my nephew. My brother got married and I went to the Faerie Worlds Festival in Eugene Oregon. And the biggest news of all I became a first time Home Owner two days ago. It will be a work in progress and I hope to be moved in by the end of August. I hope to return to blogging now that my life is taking a more positive turn.

I need help with Miniature Makers Marks

I inherited all of Sherri's miniature collection so I'm trying to identify all the miniature makers marks on the collectors pieces. I hope some of my followers with experience in makers marks can help me.

All of these were by the same person appears to be Don Crossen. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on the spelling.

February has been a long short month

This month has been a difficult one. Glad its almost over.
My aunt Sherri passed away on the 6th. I spent every summer as a kid staying at Sherri's house in Florida. She is the one who introduced me to miniatures.
I have so many wonderful memories of her. I still can't believe she's gone.
This photo was from 1987.

I ended up taking a week off work to help my parents sort thru everything and get her affairs in order. The day before I flew down there my cat Luna escaped so I was worried sick about her the whole time I was gone. Lucky for me she came home a week later once I returned home.

Tool Holder

I made my own tool holder for my pliers from my old Prismacolor marker stand. I've got more pens than will fit in the stand any way. I saw a tool holder in the MicroMark catalog that works the same way for $20. I love reusing stuff I've already got.

The little red trays you see behind the tool holder are from the local eye doctors office. They are great for holding current projects.

Isn't he adorable?

We also welcomed another furbaby into our home on the same day my nephew was born.
This is Deuce.

I made a bunch of miniature holly for wreaths.

I created a couple different style miniature ornaments for gifts this year.

I found a bunch of these 6 panel door kits at Ernie's Attic back in October. I knew I wanted to incorporate them into christmas gifts but I wasn't sure exactly how until about a week before Christmas.
I made the door knobs out of plain flat top bead caps and some antique rhinstones from my grandmother.
I wrapped a lot of minature gifts for these Christmas balls

This isn't mini but I had to share a photo. This is my brother's house.

He was featured on the MSN homepage on Christmas as one of the top light displays to visit.
